IE 9 compatibility issue

To make sure the software shows up correctly on IE9, you will need to force IE8 compatibility mode for now.

Edit: if you are running the latest version of the software (3.9) , please see the next post below for an easier way to enable IE8 mode.

To enable IE8 compatibility mode, the easiest way is to add a http header for the forum folder from the server. If not possible, you will need a meta tag on your master page.

Server Header:

Name: X-UA-Compatible
Value: IE=EmulateIE8

IIS6

IIS 7

Meta Tag:

You will put the following meta tag on your master page's <head> section:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE8" />

    Beginning version 3.9, we do not need to perform the above server configuration to support IE 9 display.

    If you run into display problem with IE 9, you can go to AdminCP -> Site Wide Options ->Forum viewing options -> IE9 Display Issue Workaround, and check the box + click Save.

    The software package has been updated to enable this option by default.
