small icons/avatars?

I am using our forum in a corporate environment as an intranet message system. I am hoping there is a way to get rid of the avatars? Although nice for general internet boards and many people, it does not fit the enviornment I am in. Is there a way to kill these? I can adjust the code, but am not that great at .asp

In the admin section it says: allow avatars yes/no. If I choose no, they still appear in the New post window.

I believe you are talking about the smiley face. Avatar means the small picture beside your post and under your name (on the left where your member status and star shows) in ASPPlayground.NET.

If you want to disable smiley, go to: js/postinterface.asp

In this file you will find a sub called " pgdSmiley" . Comment out the HTML code inside it and smileys will be gone.

By the way, I have enabled your access to our private groups
