server problems

We have been down for a week now, and see no quick resolution.. Our problem is the log file for our database is corrupted. the server was looking into it, but no resolution still. what we have come to, is we would like to wipe out the database and start anew... and let people on to post, while we search for a new host. can you clue us in on how to replace our database with a new one...clear it out so to speak... I got an e-mail from your colleague this morning and I just replied an e-mail to her. The ISP messed up the permission on the server and that was what' s causing the problem there.
