thumbnails in messages do not show? (Samuel)

Q1: I am using the ASP based version, and I did enable thumbnail in the admin control panel. However, all thumbnail shows up as red x ? (broken picture)

A1: Make sure you grant the ASPNET (win2k) / Network Services (win2k3) account read permission to your home directory. E.g.

AspPlayGround is here: G:\web\forums

ASPNET OR Network Services needs read permission on G:\ and its subdirs all the way down to the forum directory, even though there are no .aspx file in those folders higher up in the directory tree than the forum folder.

Q2: I can "successfully" upload an image into your post...at least I get no error doing so. However when displayed as a thumbnail I get the yellow "ERROR!" block and clicking on the attachment only gets you a red x.

A2: Make sure you grant the internet guest account modify permission to the upfiles folder. "Write" permission only is not enough.
