(Samuel)

Q: How do I configure the header and footer? Which file?

A:

[3.x version only]

We use Master Page to customize header/footer. The specifics are available in the readme.htm file that comes with the software.

What is Master Page? Master Page is an ASP.NET built-in feature to define common User Interface elements (e.g. header/footer) for an application. Here is the description for Master Pages from Microsoft:

Microsoft
ASP.NET master pages allow you to create a consistent layout for the pages in your application. A single master page defines the look and feel and standard behavior that you want for all of the pages (or a group of pages) in your application. You can then create individual content pages that contain the content you want to display. When users request the content pages, they merge with the master page to produce output that combines the layout of the master page with the content from the content page.

[2.x version only]

There are two ways you can edit the header/footer:

you can open header_footer.asp file and change the HTML code manually
you can use the admin feature, " dynamic header & footer" , to configure them on the fly. Make sure you click on ? graphic at the top if you have questions about this special feature.
