Feature: how about a quick search box at the top of every thread listing and message page?

there is already a search box at the bottom of the message list.

correct. what I was referring to was a simple search that would appear at the top of every page including the homepage that a user could type in a word or words and it would search the whole forum eliminating the need to always use the advanced search page. The parameters of the simple search would be preset to all words for 30 days in all forums for example.

this is easy as you can add a form (take the code from tt.asp) to your header. Are you using the dynamic header? if so, this is just copy and paste.
