options to resize gallery images on upload

can you consider adding a feature to resize images after uploading them to the gallery? i have at least one user who got a new digital camera for xmas and has been taking pictures at 2048x1536 px. she says that when she emails the pictures to her friends, the program she uses allows her to resize the image first.

it might be useful to allow a user to resize their image (permanently) after they've uploaded it, especially if they're running low on their quota. default selections like "320x240," "640x480," and "no change" would be good. thanks for the consideration!
