moving pm's to folders
Tue. Mar 16, '04 6:25 PM
( permalink)
after a day I want to clean up the PM Inbox.. so I move messages to different folders... but after moving a message you also end up in that folder, so I have to go back and go on with the next message, go back and go on with the next message, go back and go on with the next message, go back and go on with the next message, go back and go on with the next message, go back and go on with the next message, .. I want to stay in the folder where I am even if I move a message to an other folder. that is more intuitive like with outlook and also groupwise client acts like that.. when you drag a mail to an other folder you won't go to that folder but stay where you are.

Eref, Some prefer this way and some don't. You can modify the software to redirect you back to the original folder.

OK.. all raise hands who is for to use the back button each time... I see no one... And those who want to stay in the folder where you can easily manage to move messages around? YES I count 1.. that's me I just want to modify as less as possible.. but if I want to .. where do I do that?

I ErEf, I don't know about who prefers what but the feature has been working like this from day 1, and I got no complaint about it. I guess many don't think this is as annoying as you think it is. From my perspective, I don't think this is an important issue that warrants a code change. The code is in pm.asp, and look for this line: Case "add" 'move pm around folders the response.redirect statement is below it.

tnx Sam!! commented it
'response.redirect ("pm.asp?FolderID="&grouping1&"&groupName="&Server.URLEncode(""&theGName)) oops.. that is not enough if I am in a PM and I move it then .. it wont work. I'll find out somehow.
