Detach and move

I realize that a merge thread function is very difficult given threading, and has been requested before.

My request is a variation on that theme. Would a "Detach Post" and "Detach and Move Post" function be fairly easy to impliment? There's always somebody who starts a tangent in the middle of a thread and it would be nice to be able to move that post out on its own.
