installing forum in the root folder
-
Sat. Feb 28, '04 1:20 PM
Samuel, If I purchase this package, I would like to use it as the backbone of my site. It would be necessary to install at the root level, so the homepage is the first page of all forums, which I see most webmasters typically install in a folder titled "forum" or similar. Are there any complications with installing the package in the root? I've reviewed most of the sites listed on the front page of asppg, and the seem to go for a subdomain or directory. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob, Nope, there won't be any problem for the software to function in the root. See a "root" example here: http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com (I believe you are familiar with this site already).

Rob, I have been trying to get in touch with you thru email but I don't think you got any of my emails at all . I sent three emails in reply to your original mail regarding the coupon and the 3 licenses you tried to purchase last week. Please register an account on our forum so that we can communicate using Private Message. OR, check your mail account setting and unblock addresses ended with ASPPlayground.net. Best regards,

Finally received them - the email host was apparently flagging your mail as bulk. I've also been out of town at a business conference, thus the delay in responding. I'll reg an acct and send a pm. thnx, rob
