How do I register the software?

First of all, to register / activate your software, you'll need

1. A support forum account that has been verified and approved, and then
2. Activate the license manually once.

Or, are you having problem activating your license?

You can also set up a dev copy on your dev server without activation.

Support Forum Account

Getting an approved support account is easy, and please follow the steps below:

1. Register an account if you haven't already done so.
2. Once you are logged in with the account, go to your profile and make the following changes (if you haven't done so at the time of registration):
   
   • Put your exact Forum's URL (not just the domain name, but the actual URL) in the home page field.
     • e.g. I will put "http://www.aspplayground.net/forum/" (without quote) in my home page field.
   • Put your Order Reference Number (available from your order confirmation email) into the "ShareIt Ref.No." field. 
     • NOTE: Reference Number will always be hidden to others.

You will receive an email to inform you about the approval in a short while.

Activate the License

Once you have received our email regarding account approval, you can then activate your software license. There is an extra step you need to do:

1. Open your web.config file, and locate:
   

   <add key="OrderRefNumber" value="" />

   Put your Order Reference Number in the value attribute above (same as in your forum profile), and then
2. Go to the Software Activation section in your Admin Control Panel (you must be logged in as the default admin, member ID = 0), and follow the instruction on the page. Try Option 1 first. It is very simple and straightforward.
