It is configurable so you decide based on your needs. The guest settings can be set on a per-forum basis.
We have 6 different permissions for guests:
No Access / List-only / Read-only / Reply/ Post New / Post New + Reply Setting "post+reply" allows guest to perform regular tasks like regular members and setting " No Access" will disallow access for guests for a forum.
In addition, you can also restrict Guest's access right to certain area of the forum (member list, member profile, search, e.g.). You can also
force Guests to register and login before granting access to any part of your forum.
Member and Private members can all be set up in the same manner. Please
