Hi Painkilla,
  1. The image you upload will be shown at the end of each post as thumbnails.
  2. Yes, but this requires an additional plugin called the ADSI integration plugin (100 USD)

Hi Thank you

Ok, how can i upload an image then as thumbnail and put it in my post, image that is locally on my PC?
for example now when i am replying to your post i would like to
upload an image but i can see only img /img tags which prompt me to enter URL...

But i  see at the bottom screen following text:
"
File
Either the feature is disabled, or you do not have sufficient permission.
"

is this function which allows me to upload an image as thumbnail into the post?

so just to confirm, if i understand correctly ADSI integration plugin will allow me to use windows authentication
to log in to the forum?
for example in some intranet within the company?

thank you

hi,

Yes, you can try uploading images in the demo forum. And yes, the ADSI plugin is designed to allow you to authenticate against the Active Directory or Windows Users in intranet.

Hello Samuel...
many thanks for your help...
Iwould like to ask you another few questions - i tried the demo forum and it works fine, what i want to ask:

1. as forum administrator do i have control over the limit size of the image being uploaded (in the demo forum the limit size is 200k), can i increase it?

2. when i upload and attach image into my post it appears as word (@ attachment), can it be configured (from the admin section maybe?) to appear as small thumbnail image?

3. is it always one image attachment per post? or i can allow my forum members to upload more than one image

Thank you for your time Samuel
Regards

Hi,
  1. yes, you can set the size limit in the forum management section on a per-forum basis. You can set different limits for guest (if allowed), members, moderators, and for each user group.
  2. yes, when you post, you can check the box "embed picture in post" by the upload link to have images appear as thumbnails
  3. no, as 1., you can change it in the forum management interface.

Hi Samuel - thank you once again...

from what i gather obviously admin has full control over the forum, correct?
Can admin control what topics each users (or group of users) can view?

regards

admin can control every aspect of the forum, but we don't have topic level security, only forum level. So, if a person is able to view a topic in a forum, he will be able to for all other topics in that forum. You can't assign permission to topics.
