Wiki and shared folders

Not sure if anybody suggested it but I have tons of users asking for a Wiki capability within my collaborative platform. We are now converting our ASP Playground to the .Net version and have done a lot of customization for the layout and we have integrated it with our Corporate Intranet Portal. Is there perhaps a 3rd party ASP-Based WIKI product that would integrate well with ASP Playground 2.5 ANSI ASP.Net ? Also, currently our users normally request a sub-forum called something like Document Repository where they drop all their documents to share but they have been asking for a Shared Folders capability where they could drag and drop documents like they are currently doing on a different system running SharePoint Portal or SharePoint Services. Thank you

Hi, No, we don't have WIKI and the Document Repository feature available for 2.5.5. We will consider them in the next version, but this is not a guarantee though.

Samuel, If ASP Playground was compatible with DotNetNuke ( www.dotnetnuke.com) as a valid DNN Module, which is a powerful Open Source Portal environment, then your clients could port their existing ASP Playground into this free Open Source environment and gain many other features along with it. You wouldn't have to worry about adding Wikis, Blogs, Document repositories in your next releases. ASP Playground could still be purchased as is or as a DNN Module. Many many products out there are taking this approach. I am considering DNN for our National Intranet Portal in DND and it would also offer internal Instant Messaging and Chat Rooms through the use of CuteChat and CuteMessenger which do come as DNN 4 Modules for a reasonably priced licensing model. The DNN 4.4 comes with a powerful forum capability but I still prefer the ASP Playground Forums and I also have an existing growing user base on both my Internet and Intranet implementations. Please advise if you will consider this interoperability in future releases of your forum system?

at this moment, we have no plan to convert the forum as a module. I have not ruled out the possibility yet, but it is just not on our to-do list.

Add my vote for DotNetNuke consideration (sorry to refresh this old thread, but was searching for dotnetnuke info).

Yeah that's too bad... I'm moving one of my sites to DNN, we currently have 20,000 members with over 2 million posts. I was really hoping to be able to integrate that into DNN, but looks like I'll have to look somewhere else now.
