Version 2.x suggestions

We have had 2.0 working for a few days now. Very nice. We are now getting 200+ psots/day and rising rapidly.

CALENDARS

1. A user faq for the calendar functions and for any new stuff since the last version

2. When a forum is associated with a calendar, it would be good to make the posts in that forum have the calendar options. At present we have to direct users not to post in the Events forum, but to go to the calendar instead.

3. There is no editing of calendars that already exist, so you have to start from scratch if you want to make a new one and then you will lose data.

[Added: I cjhecked this and it jsut seems that an edit icon is missing.]

4. Need a way to oder the list of calendars. Currently the " Forum announcements" calendar is at the top. This is more boring (usually) than user-defined calendars define ourselves, so we would prefer our calendars to be at the top.

5. It would be better if the submit buttons were at the TOP of the calendar. Too much scrolling and if a user doesn' t scroll they will not see them.

6. Link from calendar to signatures ie 5 days to my Birthday option. If one user sees this, they will all want it. Actually, I suppose one way this can be done by adding custom fields in the profile and then an option to show these fields on the signature automatically.

[Added: I jsut treid to do this but there is NO custom date registration field type!]

RATINGS
1. One of our readers made the point that a negative rated post should not have a gold star ie 5 stars = Gold, 4 stars = silver. Not too sure about the colors of the other ones

FRONT PAGE
1. We would really like to make the Last Post column and text snippet wider. Our programmer looked into it and found that the text snippet was kept in truncated form in the database. This means that we have to do too much programming to make it longer. Is there anyway to make the text snippet variable length in future versions? Please let me know if there is an easier way to do this that we have missed.

2. If the column is wider we would like the option to show the last TWO posts one above the other. Maybe leave out the date.

I have had a number of members ask for a " Mark Forum Read" option for each forum instead of just the option for " Mark all forums Read" .
I kind of miss that option. It was available on our old forums. (not aspplayground)

Not sure what you meant here. you can edit calendar properties from the admin control panel and event properties just by clicking on the edit button.
