Version 1.99.24 (SP1-SP5) Release note

Version 1.99.24 (including SP1-SP5) release note: This version has the following new features: User features:
- Revamped Search Engine with full paging support and high performance. A new selection allows you to combine a topic and its replies in the search result. Also, search results are now based on ranking even for normal query search.
- Adding a simple search text box in each forum.
- New FAQ page explaining most of the features of the forum.
- New FAQ search tool.
- New paging system for message list display. This paging system allows sorting on all columns (including topic and author name), as well as new message filter.
- Adding a submit button to the preview window.
- Adding a new drop down box for selecting font face.
- adding MSN Messenger option to the profile.
- 4 new smileys.
Admin features:
- Admin can decide whether to delete messages when deleting users.
- Admin has the new ability to specify sort order and message filter for each forum.
- Support for SoftArtisans SMTPMail
- Support for CDOSYS (both pickup directory and external SMTP server)
- Support for ASPEmail component
- Native support for domain and path settings for login cookies
- Disapprove registration function (1 additional server message)
- You can choose to hide/unhide unselected categories on forum' s home page (default.asp) in the admin panel
- You can choose to display parent messageID or author name on message display page (tm.asp) in the admin panel
Important Enhancements / New Application Logics:
- Adding paging to the top of message display interface, as well as new paging system at the bottom (tm.asp).
- Hide other categories (only show the selected one).
- Code optimization.
- remove block character for all posts.
- fix German Date Time display error.
- Opera 7.10 browser compatibiliy
- several minor bug fixes.
- redesigned tm.asp & m.asp HTML table to avoid message distortion.
- Performance increase for tt.asp (with 9 additional stored procedures)
- Performance increase for search (with 6 additional stored procedures)
- Bug fix and performance enhancement for the paging system (tt.asp)
- Bug fix and performance enhancement for search engine
- XSS security enhancement with our own HTMLEncode function.
- XSS security prevention with our own JSEncode function.
- 4 new Cookie setting functions in session.asp
- Message length limit removed for all server messages
- Re-designed paging stored procedure to bring the performance back to the level of version 1.96
- Bug fix and performance enhancement for search engine. The searchFor functions are now back to the original format
- Slight HTML change in the post window and management window
- Registration page change
- Member list will now indicate moderator status
- Many minor bug fixes and enhancements
- Adding a few missing language strings
- CSS header class is assigned to all table headers
- Auto update forum statistics for moderated forums (logic change)
- Send out subscription notification once posts are approved in moderated forums
- Bug fix for first.asp
- A JS warning window will pop up when the message body for private message is too long (max 4900 characters)
- PM storage warning
- resolve the subscription sending problem if you are sending more BCC subscription mails once than your mail server allows.
- workaround for the HTTP compression problem
- searchpro.asp -> add " with (nolock)" lock hint to the select statement
- better handling of attachments after a user has been deleted.
- reuploaded attachment reference incorrect if the original post does not contain an attachment
- increase the column width for pgd_config.sitehome and pgd_config.forumdir
Once again, this version is a huge update. We have added/modified many of the underlying structure to provide better performance/stability/features in this version.

A small error: criteria is spelled wrong on the memberlist.asp page. It is spelled ‘crietria’ on the memberlist.asp page.
Please modify the text string MemListMemMatch, in this file: language.asp.
