V 2.5 Upgrade

I believe it would benefit my site to upgrade to V2.5. I would like to clarify a couple of features:

1) Is the calendaring feature appropriate to use in two ways, a) for general announcements for our members for their input and by the stie administrator(this seem obvious, I know) b) is multiple calendars available say for garden clubs or societies to post their events base on the site administrators approval?

2) Will I need to redo portions of my forums where I have customized it to my site or will the upgrade automatically pick this up?

3) Will there be a loss of data or posts if I upgrade?

4) I am not a programer and may need guidance to do the upgrade. Is this available --even for someone a little slow at catching on?

5) My site is a pesonal hobby site. What would the cost be for me to upgrade.

1) Yes to both of your questions. You can post announcements, as well as set up multiple calendar that allows different user groups to access. The advanced edition allows group based permission on several things.

2) If and only if you made changes to the ASP file. If you use the dynamic header/footer feature in the admin control panel, everything will be retained.
