Using common profile table to login.

Hello,
 
We are in process of evaluating this software for our needs. One most feature we are looking for is to have common profile on our web site for all different sections. User should be able to use same user name and password for all the different applications we have in our web site. We maintain a common profile database for all the different applications. Can we integrate this forum software to use the same profiles database table for storing username and password instead of table that comes with ASPPlayground?
