I have a personal (hobby) project to develop a low or no cost web hosting site for Christian organizations and churches. I was planning on using Snitz for:
  • membership
  • site (not just forum) security
  • access levels to site features (forum, web site hosting, personal pages, etc.)
  • forum
Will the ASP Playground forum fulfill the above functions for me in lieu of Snitz?

If ASP Playground will meet my needs, then:
  • Should I purchase the personal or commercial version? I would like to offer the hosting for free, but I would accept donations to help me meet expenses. Also, if the service caught on and expenses became too high for me to meet personally then I might actively solicit donations or even charge a small fee.
  • I was thinking of developing my site in a very generic form (no themes, default colors, etc.) and offering the package to others, so they could set up a similar site with minimal effort. Again to help meet my costs, I would charge a small compilation fee. I could do this with the Snitz public license, but how could I assure ASP PlayGround would be properly compensated for your component of the package?


This is an excellent package you have developed. I saw it at OutFront (the best web community I' ve ever encountered). I' m hoping I can use it for my site. Please let me know your suggestions.
