I saw this reference to Interland on the forum and just had to respond. My experience with Interland was horrific. My site was down for over a week due to a server swap. I could not get any help despite my desperate attempts to get someone's attention. This was in the fall 2003 time frame. I switched to Alentus. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are reasonably priced, provide UNBELIEVABLE support, and are a technically advanced hosting firm. ASPPlayGround Forum runs without a hitch on Alentus.

This is a bit belated. We are intergrating ASPPlayground Forum into www.chescomart.com. This site is still in development. We plan to employ the basic engine for a variety of applications over time.

ASPPlayground Forum rocks!

I could I skip this thread?

Here we are: www.ilquen.it . And here's ASPPlayground: www.ilquen.it/numenor .

We are a web-community dealing with J.R.R. Tolkien, but not only. Website entirely in Italian.

And, of course, I am a big fan of ASPPlayground. V. 2.4 is excellent, no need to say! :)

I am looking into a host for the ASPPlayground Forum and CrystalTech does appear very feature rich. I will probably go with them...

    However, I have 2 Questions:

    How is CrystalTech's P-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e?

And do you have any opinon on Infosaic?

Thanks so much for your time.

As to web hosts, let me suggest www.crystaltech.com they are the best I've seen in years of trying them all. Their support is similar to Samuels. Meaning the best, of course.

hi, I've found Crystaltech's performance to be above average along with their support and uptime. I've been with them over a year now and don't really have any complaints.

I've been looking forward to this day for a long time.  I purchased ASP Playground back in January of 2003 and yesterday I finally launched my site and forum!  Almost 2.5 years... not bad, huh?

(no, the delay was not ASP Playground's fault!)

Anyway, here it is.  Still lots to do, but at least it's "out" now.

Paul, your forum really has a nice look to it. I especially like what you've done to the event calendars. Good job!

    Hi,

I can relate to you. I used to be with interland myself. I had one server and ever nightmare on earth happend. They kept billing my card even after I cancelled my service, they charged me enormous bandwidth fees! I was supposed to have Plesk control panel, I got one domain, they never told me that! They mislead and lie!Good move that you left those lying thieves! I am in Canada so it was impossible to sue them , so I had to cancel my credit card, and I recently moved to an ISP called sparkservers.net where I get unlimited bandwidth and I have different payment options available. I am also paying in canadian funds which was hard to find. They cater to affordable hosting.

    Thanks
