How about allowing the admin access to posting " announcements" based on date.

The admin could record more than one announcement in the database for this day/week/month

When that time expires, the next announcement is displayed automatically
If none exist, then it is removed (or continued based on selection)

Also, a " preview" should exist in the admin section for viewing each announcement.

Thanks for the suggestion and this will be included in version 1.6 (a few weeks from now though)

I would also allow the user to decide how many announcement to show on the homepage, and leave the old ones visible by just clicking on a specific link (" old announcements" ), so that, if one wants, one can keep a sort of forum history
