Simplifying Moderation capabilities

We're testing out ASP Playground for our company. We found that the moderation process seems clumsy - in order to approve a post, you actually have to go to that specific post, click on an admin function, click on approve, click back to the message. A lot of steps! Are we missing something? Is there some sort of queue our moderator can go to to easily view all outstanding posts and easily approve/reject items with out too many clicks?

Hi, thanks for your message. Yes, there is a queue here: http://www.aspplayground....aspx?searchfor=approve But you still have to view the message otherwise how would you know if you want to approve it? I will move the approve button to below the message in the next update for easier access (no need to pop open that window anymore)

I'm getting a permission error when i click on that link. I did find the queue though (I think.) It seems like I have to click into a sub forum in order to find a list of all postings awaiting approval. Is there a way to see all postings across forums for a given category? As an example - if i have General Forum with three subforums "Weather", "Plans" and "Shopping" do i have to click into the weather subforum in order to find outstanding posts requiring approval or can I look within the general forum? If i have 3 forums, can i see a queue of posts across all three forums? (Sorry - i'm VERY new to this.)

It also seems like if I have 3 items requiring approval, I click on one, it pops a new browser with my message. I approve it, but now i have two windows with the forum open. If i want to approve the next message, I either go to my original list of postings requiring approval, click the next one and pop another new window (or i could have gone to the approval page from the second window, found the list, and launched a third window. Is that right?

That link is only available for moderators and admins, so it is by design you can't access that page here. It is not a forum specific queue, but for all messages waiting for approval. The queue page does have a "open new window" setting (removed from the next update). If you are running a Trial version, you can change that behavior with a simple modification: http://www.aspplayground....amp;high=search+window
