Security step for forum deletion
Fri. Sep 3, '04 5:41 PM

I'm suggesting there be a confirmation step for forum deletion. Presently an inattentive admin could easily nuke several thousands of posts by removing a forum with a single mouse click. There is more security built into removing a single user, than an entire forum. (no I haven't done that, but I could see it happening )

there is actually a prompt that asks your confirmation once you click on the delete link... doesn't yours have it?

I believe modifying things or deleting forum must need to have password confirmation again. Someday my admins friends could get logged in as an admin or my forum mods little brother could do a lot of damage. Snitz have that kind of protection. (Secure Admin Mode) Admin panel also could have it. A option is welcomed in Admin panel secure admin panel enable/disable. You can set it off bye default if you don't want to bother current forum owners. It is definitely needed in some places is PC is Public pc or shared pc.

Samuel, The program was smarter than me. I was moving around empty forums and deleting them. I hadn't tried that with a populated forum which does have a check step.
