Security - Guest Permission on IIS
Wed. Oct 9, '02 4:34 PM

We are fresh with the tool. We just installed and we are configurating everything. We notice that it requires the Guest “write†permission on the IIS and this is a feature that we not recommend internally for security reasons. What are the other alternatives to upload attachments files on the messages without open holes in our IIS?

You only need write permission for the upfiles folder, not the whole forum directory. Also, if you don' t want users to upload anything, you can turn off the upload (NoUpload) and you don' t even need write permission on anything. Thanks
