Retrieving messages using SIP

What kind of functionality do I get using the SIP for retrieving messages? Specifically, could I use the SIP to integrate search results from the forum with other sources? Thanks.

The SIP can allow you to get messages: - from forums to retrieve the messages;
- FAQ's only;
- Polls only;
- Time frame to retrieve messages from;
- how many messages to retrieve, and
- set the chronological order of messages
And no, it does not let you integrate search results in this version.
