Purchasing an upgrade

I am a current license holder for version 2.5.5.  I am not sure if I will be physically upgrading my current forum to 3.5 or install it separate.  Can I purchase the upgrade then install it in addition to 2.5.5?
 
Is the unbranded 3.5 eligible for an upgraded price or only the commercial full?
 
Does 3.5 have the ability to disable user ranking completely where no "stars" would display?

    Hi Donald,

    Thanks for contacting us. You will need to purchase a full version since that you will be installing it separately.

    It is very easy to disable the stars in version 3.5. You can do it via Control Panel by supplying a blank graphic or just modify the template to hide the stars.

    Thanks.  Another question.

    When I purchased 2.5.5, I also purchased the Active Directory plugin.  I do not see this as an add-on to 3.5.  Is the AD plugin already included or hard coded into 3.5?

    AD is supported in 3.5 with .NET's built-in AD Membership Provider. So you just turn membership integration on + add some AD information into the software's web.config file, and it will work just fine.
