Private Messaging

Very nice implementation on the private messaging feature, with one small issue I came across, and one small feature request. Issue: You have listed a group name, it should be folder name as that is what it is, a folder to store messages. Idea: With the folders being named group I had thought it would be a group of individuals I could send a broadcast PM out to. Something like a list I could pick and choose members to receive the PM on a regular basis, kind of like an e-mail subscription list but contained within the private messaging solution of the forum. Either way, it' s still a great feature added to a reat forum. Dewyatt Stanfield

ORIGINAL: DStanfield Issue: You have listed a group name, it should be folder name as that is what it is, a folder to store messages. Yes, I will add a fix to the language file. Idea: With the folders being named group I had thought it would be a group of individuals I could send a broadcast PM out to. Something like a list I could pick and choose members to receive the PM on a regular basis, kind of like an e-mail subscription list but contained within the private messaging solution of the forum. For sending to a group of individuals, please go to address book and " check all" members => hit send private message Thanks for your comment

Samuel, An enhancement request for the Private Message area... would you please consider adding ' next' and ' previous' buttons when viewing a private message (and my apologies if this has been added in a recent release... we' re a couple releases behind at the moment). thanks -pete (working for Greg)

Hi Pete, would you like to get a copy of the new version? As you know beginning 1.55.15 we support group title and custom title + ranking system + alternate color on row instead of column that you looked for for a long time (so you don' t need to hack the board anymore). Just let me know and I will send you the two required files. And next + prev button is not there yet. I will think about adding them into the next version (don' t you think the pm interface looks kind of busy already? )

It is in your profile. Click on my profile and then you will see Inbox. that' s where Private messaging is located. You can add a link to pm.asp in your header to make the inbox more accessible.
