Private Messages

Is there a way to control the number of Private Messages by user.
Also, if there is is there a way to charge for keeping more than 50?

Although you cannot control amount of PM per user, you can do so per User Group. You can set the software default to 50, and then create a User Group with a higher limit. Then, you will assign group membership to paying members (your own payment gateway or membership system) so that they inherit the higher limit.
 
Assigning group membership can be a manual process (you can go to a user's public profile to bring up a group membership management window) or an automated process using our Site Integration Package (a role provider that lets you manage group membership outside of software).
