Not sure if this would ever be of any use to anyway, though something i havent yet seen is a 'Post Rating' whereby people can easily rate a post out of 5...the most highly voted topics can enjoy an elevated status within the category of the forums...this would be automatic though, unlike Announcements and Stick notes.

1) you have to enable post rating in the forum management interface in the control panel for each of your forum 2) you can sort the message by rating by clicking on the column header. Automatically moving highest rated message to the top will disrupt the sorting and it will be very slow because SQL server will have apply one additional order by filter to the message table.
