Possible to achieve multiple subforums with limited member access?

Hi,
 
We are looking at geting some forum software, and I was wondering if your script can do the following out the box:

Our company sends groups of people on trips abroad, and what we would like is the ability to generate small "sub forums", for each of these groups so they can discuss their trip. These forums would be hidden from the general public and just accessible to members on that specific trip.

    Yes, the software has the ability to have group based private forums:
    1. create a user group for these people;
    2. add people to this user group in the AdminCP;
    3. create a private forum under a category of your choice;
    4. Add the user group as a private group to the forum;
    That's it. Private forums are hidden from the public and only accessible to people / groups you add manually.
