Point stalkers

We are having a lot of trouble with posters "Point stalking" other users. They go through old posts and give'em -2 until the person has hundreds of negative points. then we had the opposite where a "Point Fairies Council" was set up to award positive points to those who had been negapointed. Our users even ran a poll about it. http://forum.japantoday.com/Maintain_or_Eliminate_the_use_of_the_Point_System/m_81882/tm.htm So my suggestions are 1. Limit the number of points users can give in one day to, say, plus or minus 10 2. Allow all users to see who rated a particular post 3. Show a user's voting history on their profile (this is the most important point as it will encourage responsible posting). I appreciate other admin's input on this idea!

for now, the best you can do is to enable post rating while hiding the points. I believe voting and rating should be anonymous and if your users are abusing it (or are hypersensitive about points they receive), you should hide the points.
