Sam, I admire your dedication to this [great] forum, and wonder and how in the world you find the time to answer these questions... I guess on that note, I' ll be brief for your sake: Will the free version of your forum work on MS PWS (Windows98)? If so, how do I configure it? Thanks!

ORIGINAL : jcwatson11 Will the free version of your forum work on MS PWS (Windows98)? If so, how do I configure it? Hi, Thanks for your compliment first ^ ^. This project was actually started when I worked for a student organization at U of T. It was like an experimental project because I wanted to give our members a place to discuss events in the club but we didn' t have such facility at that time, and I wanted to create one on my own. Later on, I decided to give it a try to make it for general use (the very first version of the forum I used in the club only had threaded view). I called it experimental because I was actually more familiar with CGI/Perl/Javascript and text oriented storage (much like what UBB is using). Ok, now to your question: It works on PWS. You still need the correct MDAC and VBScript version installed (2.6 and 5.5 respectively), and other than that, what you need is to grant the forum folder " execute" permission. I think it is easy enough for you ^ ^ _____________________________
