Hello!

Thanks for offering your forum application free of charge! Great application! Your efforts are allowing small businesses like ours to offer forum products with very little overhead. We very much look forward to your SQL Server version, although I can' t guarantee how many of our clients will pay for it.

About the number of users. The little black letters in the top left of the screen says " Active Users" . Is this the number of current users (with a current session) inside the forum, or is it the total number of users who have completed a session on the forum?

Also, When returning to the " homepage" with the link in the upper right corner of the site, the error message says that session.contents.removeall is not supported:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error ' 800a01b6'

Object doesn' t support this property or method: ' session.contents.removeall'

/forum/redirect.asp, line 4

But I opened the redirect.asp file and found that the removeall command is followed immediately by the all-inclusive session.abandon command which accomplishes the same thing (to my knowledge) as the session remove all, and then also abandons the session. So I just removed line 4 where the problematic command was found. And now the logout seems to work fine. Will this be a problem for any reason? Is it okay to leave out the session.contents.removeall command?

I thought that maybe that was the reason why the active users count keeps incrementing with every new session without decrementing when I leave.

I guess you are right about the session management in IIS4. Microsoft changed their software without worrying about the compatibility issue.

I don' t think modify the code according to your description would cause any problem.

    Thanks
