I think I saw in a post about a month ago that you were thinking of adding a news letter application to this forum. Is this true?

Yes, it is in our plan, but will not be out anytime soon. It will be out after the private message feature, but there isn' t a set date yet.

    thanks

      Have you seen http://www.pensaworks.com/default.asp
It seems pretty good for the price. you might want to partner with them to come up with a package solution.
Just a sugestion. I am going to purchase the e-letter. If you would like I can let you know what I think.

        Hi,

we are actually using their software. If you have that newsletter software, you can easily use our forum to export a list of e-mails (with name) and import the list to the newsletter.

I do find their newsletter software very slow when you want to display subscribers, even on SQL server. ADO paging is the culprit.

          sam,

don' t add everything. keep the forum as it is now with the few updates you mentioned is good enough. Although i want the software i purchased to have as many as features as it can, i also want to keep things simple unless there is a real good reason to add a feature, like private message or the poll you added. smaller codes runs faster and cleaner codes always have fewer bugs.

the forum is overall very good. it is not possible to cover everything you know.

                  Dear Chris,

I have noticed that your company is a hosting company. If you are interested in our software and want to use it as your forum solution in addition to your current client, maybe we can develop a partner relationship.

I sent you a detailed description before, so if you are interested but still have questions, please let us know and we can work it our for you.

                  Thanks

                    Sam,
I Talked to the owner and he is interested.
Can we private lable the software and distribute the software?
We have a lot of clients that we do web work for that are not hosting with us but can have a need for you sofdtware.
Also if we offer it with a package what would be the cost?

Pleas e-mail me direct. you have the e-mail address.
