New post button should always appear - if unregistered take to login/

This is a small one but a goodie... New post button should always appear - if unregistered take to login/signup page. Current behaviour shows no new post button to those without privilege. A new visitor can be enticed to join or less confused if they see the button, click it and if no permission simply take them to a page that allows them to register OR to login if registered member.

It would be easier for all of us if you just modify the software  . I believe most of us are used to the permission system and changing the way it works will cause a lot of confusions.

Some of us (like me) run a "closed" forum and don't want just anyone registering for the forums. That means only people that belong to our paid membership group can post. We do leave the forums open to the public for general viewing though. Just my 02/100

In my opinion, if a user doesn't have permission to use an option, a button or link should not be displayed. if a user is interested in the forum, he'll register without "inticement". if you want the buttons, if/then/else clauses are really easy to comment out.

yeah, i'm actually surprised at how many of rcuniverse's suggestions have gone through and got on the list for future releases (kudos for that, rcuniverse!). i can only dream of having so much influence! i'm already modifying my code, but the problem is, if i run into a bug in my own mod, there's no one to turn to. it's always best to make the suggestion here, and if it gets shot down, then you break out notepad and fix it yourself.
