how much time does it take to convert a phpbb theme to asppgd?

Depends on the theme. Some take a good day to convert, Others can take a couple days. There is quite a range in the way themes are applied in phpBB.

Was there a specific one that you wanted to have converted?

I think this is a very nice theme.

Initially it doesn't look much different than some of the other themes but the user information on the right instead of the left in the message display is going to be a bit more work to figure out. It would probably take a couple days for someone to do it I would guess.

Well I spend a few hours finding out what to do where to modify the new themes. It's just to confusing for me, to find out what file to open to change this.. and then open an other file to change that. I am a bit discouraged.

If it's your first time and you haven't done much moding of the software it can be a bit frustrating. I've got too much on my plate right now or I'd help you out. If you are willing to through a bit of cash at the problem you could try IceDog. He's the man when it comes to themes here but he will probably want a little compensation for his time.

well.. i started 8 years ago on snitz2000 forums, I modded a lot just html/asp
then moved to aspplayground, because of it's better performance, unfortunately compared to snitz less options. snitz has a much bigger community programming mods. but most of them not always good.
But I could handle aspplayground v2.x, asp isn't that difficult.
This is a step beyond my knowledge :).. but I have some friends around who can help me out. I'll manage. And if not, I surely can ask  icedog, and of course, a reasonable fee is no problem.

And yes, it is totally difference from ASP, as we use native ASP.NET technology like Skins and User Controls.
