Moderator is attached to a forum, and can only delete/edit/mark sticky/lock/move messages in that forum, whereas Forum Manager is one of the default admin groups that will act just like an admin on the public portion of the forum (forum, calendar, gallery, etc.) and have the ability to change forum settings but not other settings in the admin control panel.

Does this commercial version forum layout for ASPPlayground.net provide the separation for both the primary admin, Manager, Co-Manager and Moderators? I'm looking for a forum or message board layout similar to what MSN uses; they're closing all message board groups early next year. Thanks. Trixie

Basically, we have 3 default admin groups (forum manager/user manager), and moderators as explained above. And we also have a group manager for each user group that deals with approving group membership application if such function is enabled for the group. And you can modify the template to make it look like the MSN message boards.
