Here's my situation.  I know that I can programatically create User records in the pgd_ tables for each User in my system.  Is it simple to maintain synchronicity between the pgd_ tables and my tables?  Also, I want to be able to log my Users into the playground forums automatically when they successfully log in to my site.  Is this easy to do?

Also, with the .NET version are you planning on coming out with a .NET 2.0 version soon?  Would an upgrade to this version be included in my license if it was to be released in a few months?

      Andy,

Thanks for your inquiry. Let me answer your questions one-by-one:
      1. Integration with existing user table. The simplest way to maintain synchronicity is to only allow members to edit shared data in one place - in your own code, and send the changes to the forum's database using simple SQL query or our SIP (SIP is mentioned in the link). Auto-login is explained in the link as well.
      2. yes, I have plan for version 2 and it will be available Q1 next year. The standard cost for upgrade will be 100 USD. We will release info regarding upgrade pricing and who is eligible to receive free upgrade when the software is released.

      Samuel,

I'd really like to give ASPPlayground a try.  I have created a site for the University of Michigan, School of Education that is used by teachers to collaborate and work with new science curricula for middle schools.  Since this is grant-based education research and not-for-profit I was hoping to qualify for the 20% discount.  You should check out the site called Knowledge Networks on the Web at http://know.umich.edu.  If you'd like a guest password to poke around, please let me know.

Currently I have a Web Crossing discussion forum integrated with the site.  It was painful to integrate and maintaining it has been a nightmare.  Given your licence's access to the source code, I'm sure I can get the ASPPlayground up and running with much less headache.  I have my development environment in NY (with no public web server) and the live site is served up from U of M.

I like that there is a straight ASP and an ASP.NET version available as I'm going to be migrating the site soon to .NET.

How can I get your software up and running here in my development environment the quickest, easiest way?

      Thanks,
      Andy
