Q: I want to screen each registrant so that my mom won't know what I am doing with my forum. What should I do?

Just set up the necessary restrictions in the admin panel for your registration function and that's it. We support 4 different levels of registration procedure:

1. No Restriction - anyone can register and use all enabled forum features right away.
2. E-mail verification - an unique email address is required for each registrant, and email address validation is required.
3. Admin approval required - in addition to E-mail Verification, Admin has to manually approve each registrant.
4. Do not accept new registrants - halt registrations to your forum.

In addition to these features, you can create custom registration fields to collect additional data from users. You can also mark them mandatory on the registration form. Everything can be done in the admin control panel so you don't have to customize the source code to do it.
