How does the Search Engine Friendly URL works?

Q: I would like to know how the search engine friendly url feature works. Did you generate static HTML files on the server? Are there special requirements on the server? In version 3, we use URL Rewriting method without involving anything IIS configuration. The following is a testimony of how powerful our technique is: Joel I finally had time to to setup my SQL server for full text indexing and wanted to switch over to "search engine friendly" URLS. Wanting to truly see the difference of the URL submission, I submitted to ALEXA although I have not submitted to any other search engines *yet*. Below is a graph showing the results of my submission to Alexa. 2 days after submission, you can see the dramatic results.... Thank you Samuel for offering this functionality... Joel
