How do I change date format?

How do i change the date format? I would like to change it to the following format (danish): dd/mm/yyyy. In Denmark we also have three more letters in our alfabet (æ, ø, and å. Whenever I write these letters in the asp-file I get a square instead of the actual letter. What can I do to change that?

read my post here for information on date format. Also, the problem with Denmark character can be solved by changing your default encoding to " denmark" (I don' t know the name of the character set for denmark..try changing from the default " UTF-8" to " windows" or " ISO" ) in the forum administration area.
