Hiding categories/forums on default.asp

this is not the standard (security) hiding suggestion, but I saw this one on vbulletin and it prevents default.asp getting very long if you have a lot of forums. actually it isn't hiding but just not showing categories / forums on default.asp. Wouldn't it be nice if this was possible in forum manager to choose to show a forum in the category list on default.asp. The standaard (main) categories should always be visible, but sub cats or sub forums do not allways have te be listed in default.asp. they could be visible when entering a category. example.. on default.asp you have a category which shows just 3 important/busy forums.. but when clicking/entering that category you'll see also the 4 other not so important forums.

there is a feature in the control panel that can show collapsed categories. Or you can make those "unimportant" forums sub-forums.

nope.. that is not what I mean.. here an example a normal situation (it seems) you see three forums in category Fitness & Bodybuilding Competitie you see one forum and 2 subforums in category Dutchbodybuilding Elite Boards Now I entered category Fitness & Bodybuilding Competitie and you see 3 more normal accessible forums which are just not shown on default.asp so I think it is a nice option.. Hide forum from Forum homepage

yap, got it. but what if the user does not click on the category link? The "unimportant" forum will remain "unimportant" forever. I still think the subforum approach is better.

sure.. but I want to make a forum with all kinds of sublinks in it as you can make it in forum manager. So then you have a forum with al kinds of links.. with redirect count, but you don't have tens of subforum links on default.asp
