I noticed you post a lot recently... I would like to know something about this forum..hope you can shed some lights : 1) there is a lot of asp forums out there (i know some are really crappy), but what makes you like this forum that much? 2) in terms of speed, there is another one called IdealBB...what do you think about IdealBB ? 3) I am deciding on whether to use this forum or not...but I couldn' t quite decide for myself... do you know any comparable alternatives regarding ASP forums? (don' t say snitz, thanks..forced to shut down a few weeks ago by my ISP..) thanks

1) there is a lot of asp forums out there (i know some are really crappy), but what makes you like this forum that much? From what I can tell, this forum is pretty solid. It runs very smoothly and is very scaleable. Samuel and his team have really done a good job with providing great features without sacrificing performance or simplicity. I would really like to see the features I have suggested to them, but maybe in the near future they will be added. 2) in terms of speed, there is another one called IdealBB...what do you think about IdealBB ? Note: You will need to install an Active X COM object on your server in order to utilize the full functionality of the Ideal BB. I can' t use the Ideal BB because it requres the installation of COM objects, which I can' t do on my web host. 3) I am deciding on whether to use this forum or not...but I couldn' t quite decide for myself... do you know any comparable alternatives regarding ASP forums? (don' t say snitz, thanks..forced to shut down a few weeks ago by my ISP..) hmmmm... I' m actually using Snitz on my site right now (having server problems though). I don' t really know what to tell you. This forum is probably the best solution for my needs. If you have admin rights to your webserver, then you ought to check out IdealBB also. Aspin.com has a great list of ASP based Forum Software. thanks for your info....I did actually find IdealBB a cumbersome solution for shared web host (as you can see on their web site..so many trouble just to get it up and running---and probably the ISP wouldn' t allow me to run a SQL job either, unless i have a dedicated account) I guess this forum is the best for my needs too.

thanks mike for answering the questions for me. really appreciated. As I mentioned in my previous posts, the prototype for poll and private messaging are finished, and they are all currently under serious tests for performance and usability. (performance and usability are always my first concerns when I am adding features.) Thanks again and I will have both of them (poll and private msg) as soon as I can. I just want to ensure that no one will run into problems just to use the features _____________________________

Cool, I can' t wait to see them in action. I' m in the process of moving hosts, so as soon as my new SQL server gets setup, I' ll finally purchase your software and get it up and running. Hopefully I should be all moved over by this weekend. I' m looking forward to checking out what you' ve done and adding my own flavor to it to help integrate it with my site.
