Few questions about storage and disabling features

Hi,

Just wondering what a medium to large size forum would take up in disk space. Can I completely disable the photo gallery so that it doesn't even look like it exists (rather than that it is disabled but there). Also, I am interested in integrating fairly tightly with an existing site.

Can you point me to posts about:

1) synchronizing passwords and automatically logging in users who already logged in to my site

2) How would I programmatically post a message. Can it be done via an email?

3) Any sample code available to get an idea of how well documented it is for modification purposes. For example the Post New Thread screen.

Sorry for replying late. I lost internet connection for almost 12 hours. Let me answer your questions one by one:

1) You can use our Site Integration Package (SIP) to perform external login. Look for PGDLogin class in this document: http://www.aspplayground.net/sip/readme.htm Basically in your login code, you add a method call to the class PGDLogin and generate a cookie that is readable by the forum. Also, you can import your existing users to our forum's database with the PGDRegister class in the SIP.

2) You can use the stored procedure (spPost/spReply) we use in your own code. However, we do not support posting via email in the package. You will have to customize it.

3) There is a mod forum and a tutorial forum, and some sample code for using the SIP in the SIP package itself. Generally I do not document the code but you can ask questions in the forum. Many have customized the code without my help (mods).
