Feature Suggestion: Custom User Forums

I would like to suggest the feature where users could select among all the forums or categories which forums they would like to see on the homepage. A custom view or "myforums" sort of feature. The user would then be able to search for new posts ONLY from his selected forums or when using the advanced search he could mark a checkbox to narrow the search ONLY to forums that are in his custom forum list.

This feature would allow a user to eliminate from their view and search results the posts and threads from forums that they have no interest in.

I would think this would not be too difficult as all that would be needed is another field for the user which contains the list of their chosen subforums and then when you query the new posts, forum lists or search results you limit the results to those IN (forumlist).
