Calender Notifications

Couldnt find this in the calendar though would be nice if one could 'subscribe' to a particular event, whilst subscribing he could select how long before the event he would be notified. For example, if there's an event on the 25th, he could select that he be notified about the event by email 24hrs beforehand. This would make the calendar extremely useful to many as they can plan by it...especially if it's a public calendar.

hm.. I have thought about this feature when designing the calendar application but this feature to my knowledge requires a scheduled job to be run on the server (not a SQL job, but a scheduled job that executed an ASP file).. It is tough to implement because most users do not have dedicated server that can be set up like this.
