Automated Mail Features

The new feature automating a "Welcome to our Forums" has been a big hit with our members! Additional options could really be useful, such as:
- "Happy Birthday Wish",
- Encouraging members to visit the forums again when they haven't logged in for X days.
- Encouraging members to post their first message, if they haven't done so within X days
- Congratulate members on their first post and wish them success
- Thank members for posting to the photo galleries
- Ad hoc messages as needed
Of course this list could go on and on . . . if this feature is already available and I've missed it, please show me where/how to implement. Thx

Thanks Ben for your suggestion. We have talked about this before (about automated emailing and mass-mailing capabilities) but I really don't think a purely web based application should do such thing considering the load it will be placed on the server. A dedicated mail machine + mail server should be better suited for such tasks.

Thanks, Sam. I understand and remember the earlier conversation about not turning the forums into a mail server and I agree with that. I have server/service set up to take care of such needs. What I was really hoping for was a small expansion on the "Welcome" message feature you already offer --it has been such a hit with my members.
