Attachment sizes

Hi.. I've searched through the forum here regarding max attachment sizes and get the sense that the answer is different for the .net version than was previously answered. What might be the largest (practical) attachment size available? Our system won't be too busy (500 users, maybe 5-10 concurrent sessions..) We'd like to use it as a place to store and collaborate on documents. Most users will be LAN/WAN connected. Thanks much Dave

Hi Dave, I would say regardless of versions, the maximum practical size for attachments would be 15MB. The software streams file when a file is requested in order to prevent unauthorized access (it is not like when you download a file directly, knowing the exact URL), and streaming takes RAM and CPU, and the larger the size of attachment, the bigger the demand on the system.
