Hi Samuel,
I posted the original thread as a "guest" user, did the last reply as "Groovis" and now am reposting as a "guest
user. The reason I am doing this is because I changed the email address on my "groovis" account. I was not aware
that I would have to wait for a confirmation before I could continue on logged in as "groovis". Besides having to wait
for a confirmation, I have a problem with the forum integration for which I was trying to access the "support" forum:
when I test the configuration of the forum integration in the site that I am using, emails regarding a user whose registration
is denied come through to the user OK. However, if I try to register as a user, the admin (which is also me with a unique
and valid email address as I am testing this out for the client) never receives an email saying someone's registration
is pending (it is set up so the admin must approve all registrations) as well as I never receive a confirmation that my
registration is under review (I use a valid but unique email address for the registration process). I am confused as
to why the delete/decline registration message gets sent out but the actual registration related messages do not.
I have set up a valid email address for my admin account, have set up a dummy email address for the
"Server Messages" account and have set up a dummy email address for the basic configuration.
Also, if more than one user is made an admin user, should all admin users get email notifications for
new registrations that need to be approved? And will all admin users get notification if a user has posted
a new message and it requires admin/moderator approval?
I know this message really doesn't belong here, but I wasn't quite sure where to put it being as I cannot
access the "support" section until the email address change for my "groovis" user has been confirmed (?)
and I can then have access again to support.
Thanks for your help and let me know if you need any further information. Time is critical as the client
wants to go live with this on Feb 6 or 7.
