System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Cannot find table 0.

Hey there. I am trying to make a copy of an existing 3.9 installation for my trial run of an upgrade to 4.3. I made the database & files, & set the folder to be an application. Now, when I navigating to the forum, I get this exception:
Exception Details: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Cannot find table 0.

Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

I have read a little on this exception on my own, but seems complicated. Can you give me an idea of how to address this? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I read the article, but after many tries, still cannot figure out how to initiate the setup wizard. Using "http://<forum-URL>/[forum]/setup/" does not work for me. Any ideas?

Doesn't work -> make sure the setup folder is there. Did you download the full 4.3 package?

Issac, did you run into any error with the setup program? It should report what went wrong when you click on the next button. You can include your error message here if you want.

Thanks for checking back, Sam. Had a temporary interruption of access.

The copy (and the original, of course) do Not have a setup folder present. I downloaded the newest 4.3 upgrade package.

    I am following the directions...

"If you have modified the language file previously, please copy and paste the new language strings to your existing language file(s)."

I can't tell whether it has been modified. Is there a place I can download 3.9 so I can compare it with the original? Thanks.

You can see all the new and modified language strings in the comment section using Visual Studio. See my screenshot below:

I do not have Visual Studio, unfortunately. Instead, I replaced "ln.resx" file in my test forum with the one from the upgrade package. After I get the forum working, I can go back and merge what I want.

My next challenge: I do not find called "~/config/appSettings.config". There is no "~/config" folder at all. Do I need to contact the web host about this? Thank you.

It's also in the full 4.3 package.

I followed the directions and am ready to run Setup. When I try, I receive the error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'ASPPG Core Objects'. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded."

It seems I need to set the vNext application to use a different .NET version on the web server, right? Thanks.

vNext requires 4.0+ so yes, you need to change the Application Pool (not the entire server) to use a different version.

We are now using 4.0. When I navigate to Setup, I see the error below. I had the web host restart the Application Pool again just to be sure. The error remains.

You also need to upload the bin folder from 4.3 to your server. The dlls are missing.

I re-uploaded the bin folder from the vNext 4.3 package, but the error remains.

It's difficult for me to help using the forum because I am unsure if your server environment is set up right. These errors looked like files were missing (rather than software issue - no one reported these type of errors before)... so as much as I'd like to help, I can't because I don't know what's going on.

As I told you in the emails, I do offer professional upgrade / migration service, and have quoted you the price. Let's take it from there.
